Joint Working

The Orchid Practice

At Solutions Educational Psychology we work closely with the Speech and Language Therapy team at The Orchid Practice.

Joint Mission Statement

We believe that collaboration between services provides children, young people and their families with a broader perspective and a greater understanding of individual strengths, needs and potential ways forward. It enables families to access two highly skilled professionals in the same room and negates them having to tell their child’s story twice. Multi-disciplinary assessments by SALT and EP allows a comprehensive and integrated case formulation to guide any recommendations and ongoing work, which we believe will lead to improved outcomes for children and young people. The benefits of multi-agency working are recognised by the Department for Education and the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice.
